Privacy Policy

Memori is a service that calls older parents and grandparents on the phone, listens to their stories, and turns the conversation into a keepsake. We’re a small operation, and we built this because the stories of the people we love deserve to be kept.

This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we do with it, and what we don’t do.

What we collect

When you sign up:

  • Your name, email, and phone number
  • The name and phone number of the parent or grandparent you’d like us to call
  • The time window you’d like us to call within
  • Any notes you choose to share about your parent

During the call:

  • The full audio recording of the conversation
  • A written transcript of what your parent said and what June (our AI host) said
  • Basic call metadata — when the call happened, how long it lasted

From the keepsake:

  • The generated memoir text and the share link we send you

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Place the outbound call to your parent at the time you specified
  • Generate the multi-chapter memoir keepsake from the conversation
  • Make the keepsake available to you via a private, unguessable share link
  • Email or text you about your specific sign-up — confirming the call, sharing the keepsake, asking for feedback

That’s it. We don’t use it for anything else.

Who we share it with

To run the service, we use a small number of third-party tools. Each one only sees the data they need to do their job:

  • Twilio places the actual phone call. They see the phone numbers.
  • Hume AI handles the voice conversation with your parent and stores the audio recording temporarily on their servers.
  • Anthropic (Claude API) generates the memoir text from the transcript. We send them the transcript only — not the audio.
  • Supabase stores the transcript, the memoir, and metadata in our database.
  • Vercel hosts our website and backend.
  • Typeform collects your sign-up form.

We don’t share your data with anyone else. We don’t sell it. We don’t trade it. We don’t pass it to advertisers.

SMS / Mobile Messaging

When you sign up, you provide your mobile phone number so we can send you transactional SMS messages about your order — signup confirmation, scheduling, one-time verification codes, and a link to your keepsake when it’s ready. We do not send marketing texts.

By submitting the signup form, you agree to receive these transactional SMS messages from Memori. Message frequency varies based on your order activity (typically 1–5 messages per keepsake). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@yourmemori.ai.

No mobile information, including SMS opt-in data and consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do share necessary phone number data with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, solely to deliver the messages above. Twilio is bound by their own privacy terms.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t use your parent’s voice, story, or transcript to train any AI model — ours or anyone else’s.
  • We don’t publish your parent’s story anywhere public.
  • We don’t sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don’t share recordings with anyone outside the people you explicitly send the link to.

Your parent’s consent

The first thing June does on the call is tell your parent that the conversation is being recorded and ask for their okay before continuing. If they say no, the call ends and the recording is discarded.

How long we keep things

For now, we keep the recording, transcript, and keepsake indefinitely so you and your family can come back to them. If at any point you want us to delete everything we have about you and your parent, email us and we’ll do it within seven days.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • Ask us to send you a copy of everything we have about you
  • Ask us to delete everything we have about you and your parent
  • Ask us not to call again
  • Stop using the service

Just email hello@yourmemori.ai. There’s no form. A real person will read it and act on it.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits to yourmemori.ai and see which parts of the page people read. We don’t use it to track you across other websites.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything meaningful, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top. If you’re an active user, we’ll also email you.
